The Hourglass Sanatorium

Józef (Jan Nowicki) visits the sanatorium of Dr. Gotard (Gustaw Holoubek), where his late father was treated. In this unusual place, he is transported back in time, which he unsuccessfully tries to restore in real life. In a surreal reality, his father is alive, and he is once again a little boy. He sees a Jewish town, his family home, and Princess Bianka (Bożena Adamek), who rejected his love by leaving with his friend Rudolf. Based on the prose of Bruno Schulz, the film is a poetic reflection on the passing of time and the meaning of life.

Józef (Jan Nowicki) saapuu tohtori Gotardin (Gustaw Holoubek) parantolaan, jossa hänen edesmennyt isänsä on ollut hoidossa.
